SICILY'S CLASSICAL TOUR

Day 1: Palermo – Agrigento

Upon arrival in Palermo you will be greeted by your Tour Escort and transferred to the hotel in Agrigento. Welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Agrigento

After breakfast guided sightseeing tour to the Valley of the Temples, plateau site of the ancient city that is extraordinarily rich in Greek remains. Agrigento’s most famous Temples are the Temple of Juno, Zeus, Castor Pollux, Demeter and also, the well-preserved Temple “The Concordia”. Return to the hotel for lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Agrigento - Piazza Armerina - Taormina

After breakfast departure for Piazza Armerina, here you will visit the most famous mosaics of the Roman Villa of Casale. Enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant. Afternoon departure to Taormina. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Taormina – Mt. Etna

After breakfast set out for a full day excursion to Mt. Etna, one of the largest active volcanoes in Europe. Stop in the hills of Taormina for lunch at a typical Sicilian farmhouse, where home cooking is their specialty. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Taormina – Siracusa – Noto

Breakfast at the hotel then on for a full day excursion: morning guided tour of Siracusa the most important Greek City of ancient times. Lunch at a local winery, then on to Noto where you’ll visit St. Francisco’s Church, the Monastery of San Salvatore and Santa Chiara. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Taormina

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning excursion to the historical center, including a tour to the Greek Theater, Odeon, Cathedral. Lunch is on your own, (for those that rather shop then eat) Rest of the afternoon at leisure in Taormina’s center. Typical Sicilian farewell dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Taormina – Palermo

After breakfast departure for Palermo. Sightseeing tour of Palermo. Lunch at a local restaurant. Accommodations at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Palermo

Breakfast in the hotel, then transfer to Palermo airport.
