COOKING CLASS IN SORRENTO
Day One
Arriving at the Naples train station or airport, you will be greeted by an English speaking local guide. A car or bus will then take you directly to a farm factory in Sorrento where clean, warm, and cosy accommodations are ready for your stay.
If it's early enough, you may take a leisurely walk to downtown Sorrento and let the ocean breeze take away your fatigue from the long flight. For those who arrive late or prefer to just rest, stay relaxed at the farm factory where friendly family members will make you feel at home.
Tonight you will enjoy a wonderful candlelit dinner with the entire family.
Day Two
Following breakfast, a visit to the oldest olive oil manufacturers in Sorrento, which is renowned for the best olive oil in the area; in fact, the quality has been certified from the EU Agricultural department, as “DOC”.
Later in the morning, a great wine tasting expedition to learn about the DOC Campania wine. The owner, will welcome you at his vineyard. You will tour his characteristic garden that reflects the typical vegetation of the area. You will then be provided with samples of his wines and explanations of the origins and differences of quality wines in the Campania region.
Return to the farm factory, where our chef will prepare a light lunch with all the freshness and rich flavours of natural and seasonal ingredients.
After lunch, discover Sorrento in walking the streets of the historical center to hear the Neapolitan sounds and the aroma of cappuccino.
Return to the farm factiry in the afternoon for a cooking class to taste the tradition of an Italian family. Chef will explain to you the simplicity of the Neapolitan cuisine while you prepare a delicious menu such as fresh pasta, chicken cacciatore, and a delicate lemon tart. Dinner to follow.
Day Three
After breakfast, our guide will take you to the oldest cheese factory of the area. The cheese maker will show you how the treccia Sorrentina and the Caciovallo are prepared, one of the key ingredients of the Neapolitan cuisine. Of course, you will have the opportunity to taste the cheese while still warm!
Lunch and time for leisure.
This afternoon you will have your final cooking class, based on seafoods. Dinner to follow
Day Four
Breakfast and transfer to the Naples airport or train station. Time to say Arriverderci and Buon Viaggio!
