Day 1 VATICAN CITY ROME

Day 3 CAPRI
Cross the Bay of Naples to the enchanting island haven of Capri,a glamorous town of narrow lanes and chic shops.Spend your free time with a possible visit to the captivating Blue Grotto,a cavern lit from underwater by sunlight reflected against submerged limestone.
Day 4 NAPLES
After a free morning of exploration and relaxation,a treasure trove of antiquities awaits you in the National Archeological Museum in Naples.Board an overnight ferry to Palermo.
Day 5 PALERMO
City sightseeing with a local guide includes the Piazza Bellini,where you visit La Martorana.The 12th century church is the city’s most famous structure and boats an impressive Arab Norman bell tower and rich mosaics.Continue to the Royal Palace to admire Byzantine mosaics,geometric tiles and Arab style stalactite woodcarvings.
Day 6 AGRIGENTO
With a local guide,visit Agrigento to see some of the most impressive Greek architecture in the world.Explore the famous Hellenistic temples that dot the hilltops,from the oldest Tempi de Ercole (Hercules),to the largest and unfinished Tempio di Giove Olimpico.View the venerable Tempio della Concordia.Complete with 34 columns which is one of the world’s best preserved Greek temples.On to Sicily’s picturesque town of Taormina.
Day 7 TAORMINA
Beneath snow capped Mt.Etna,Taormina offers a restful day of free beach time.Visit the Greek theater,where ancient gladiators would fight but where performers today find the classics more appropriate.
