Day 1 – VENICE SIGHTSEEING – MASK MAKING

Discover the real beauty of this city as a local guide brings you to St. Mark’s Cathedral, the Grand Canal, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Learn the art of Venetian mask making and create your own souvenir.

Day 2 – MANTUA

Travel across the Appennines to Tuscany. En route stop in Mantua to view the Ducal Palace, and s. s.

Day 3 – FLORENCE SIGHTSEEING – ART RESTORATION CLASS

Join a local guide for a tour of The Duomo, Ghiberti’s Baptistry doors, and the Church of Santa Croce. See Michelangelo’s David in the Accademia. Enjoy an optional class on art restoration.

Day 4 – UFFIZI AND BARGELLO PALACE

Visit Italy’s most revered museum, the Uffizi, where works by Botticelli, Raphael and Titian await you during your guided tour. Marvel at more art treasures in the Bargello Palace, which boasts sculptures by Donatello and Michelangelo.

Day 5 – PISA – SIENA – SAN GIMIGNANO

Opt to witness the most famous battle between architecture and Mother Nature – the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Continue to Siena, as, e town of 17 medieval neighborhoods, each with its own church and symbol. End at y. y.

Day 6 – ROME SIGHTSEEING

Recapture the past of the”Eternal City”with a local guide at the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, Trajan’s Column and the Roman Forum. Explore the Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps and the r. r.

Day 7 – VATICAN SIGHTSEEING

This morning visit the Vatican and discover the artistic legacy of Catholicism. Marvel at the ceiling of the t. PSt. Peter’s Basilica.

Day 8 – POMPEII – CAPRI EXTENSION

Opt to extend your stay by travelling to Pompeii a guided tour of this ancient Roman city left remarkably well – preserved after being buried by a catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Cross the blue waters of the Bay of Naples set against the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius to Capri. Return for an evening in the Sorrentine Peninsula and return home the following day.
