Day 1 ROME
Recapture the past of the”Eternal City”with a local guide at the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, Trajan’s Column and the Roman Forum. Explore the Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps and the r. r.
Day 2 OSTIA ANTICA
Opt for a half day excursion to the ancient seaport of Rome with a local guide. Bs, boasting intact theaters, balkeries, piazzas and bath complexes, mostly overgrown with ivy and shaded by umbrella pines, you can still imagine what a hub of activity this port was in ancient times.
Day 3 VATICAN
This morning visit the Vatican and discover the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basit. Pa. Rub the feet of St. Peter’s statue for good luck.
Day 4 CUMAE NAPLES
Visit the ancient Greek site of Cumae, te. The earliest Greek colony in Italy and home to the Sibyl’s cave. Treasures from centuries of art and excavation, including Pompeii, await you at the National Archeological Museum in Naples. Continue to the seaside resort town of Sorrento.
Day 5 POMPEII CAPRI
A guided tour reveals this Roman city, left remarkably well preserved after being buried by a catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Cross the blue waters of the Bay of Naples set against the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius to Capri. Return for an evening in the Sorrentine Peninsula.
