Day 3 FLORENCE
Join a local guide for a tour of The Duomo, Ghiberti’s Bapistry doors, the Church of Santa Croce. A visit is included to the Accademia to view Michelangelo’s David. You may lean toward an optional afternoon visit to Pisa, site of the Leaning Tower.
Day 4 ORVIETO SORRENTO
Enjoy the breathtaking vineyards and rolling countryside as you journey south to the Mediterranean resort town of Sorrento. Pause en route for a visit to charming Orvieto.
Day 5 CAPRI
Cross the Bay of Naples to the island of Capri, wu. Shere a resort like atmosphere awaits you. Spend a free day exploring this charming island.
Day 6 POMPEII ROME
A guided tour reveals Pompeii, a mysterious city left remarkably preserved after being buried by a catastrophic volcanic eruption in 79 AD. Drive to Rome, ty. The capital of Italy. This evening join your NETC Tour Director on a walking tour through the streets of this incredible city. Let your tastebuds indulge on gelato as your eyes feast on Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
Day 7 VATICAN ROME
This morning visit the Vatican with a local guide and discover the artistic legacy of Catholicism. Marvel at the ceiling of the t. PSt. Peter’s Basilica. L”. Later explore”The Eternal City”. Listen for the roar of the ancient crowds at the Colosseum, and the voices of long since gone philosophers at the Roman Forum.
