TUSCANY'S CLASSICAL TOUR

Day 1:

Arrival in Florence. Private transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2:

After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your local guide to begin your morning walking tour of Florence. This itinerary includes a visit to the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore) and the Cathedral complex, with Brunelleschi’s grandiose cupola; Giotto’s bell tower; the Babtistry, best known for its bronze doors which have been called the "Gates of Paradise". The tour continues with a visit to the 15th century Palazzo Pitti. Florence’s largest if not most beloved palazzo was commissioned by the wealthy importer of French cloth, Luca Pitti, to "keep up with the Joneses, " who in his day were named Medici and Strozzi.

Day 2 cont.: 

Next, a visit to the Palantine Gallery, a museum of paintings containing some of the most important works of Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, Rubens, Murillo, Velasquez, and more. You may catch a glimpse of Boboli Gardens from the gallery windows. Then on to Piazzale Michelangelo along the romantic Viale dei Colli with a stop to admire the wonderful panorama of the city, one of the most beautiful in the world.

Day 3:

Full day to explore Florence or you may wish to book one of our optional full day or half-day tours in the area.

Day 4:

Breakfast at your hotel. Depart from your hotel to your next destination.
